Keep Your House Safe

Dryer maintenance is extremely important because dryers and lint build-up are a lethal combination. Dryer lint buildup causes thousands of residential fires across the U.S.

Firefighters recommend carrying out dryer maintenance and dryer vent cleaning at least once per two years.

Fires per year happen in the US due to untimely maintenance

The best!! It was so straight forward to communicate with this team, my questions were answered, and a rough estimate was given so there were no big surprises. Andrew was super nice and helpful. Overall service took about 2-3 business days to review the issue, get parts ordered, then another visit to repair/replacement of the shocks. Timeline made sense for us since the washer wasn't unusable. Andrew definitely knew what he was doing and explained to us the process along the way. I plan to always call Andrew and this team for any appliance issues.

Staff: What a great group of people. I especially loved how my first repair guy Andrew sent me an email before arrival with his name and picture. The same happened when Roman came out for the actual repair. Such a thoughtful gesture for customers. Quality: Really good service and communication. Very impressive! Value: About $600 to replace my oven thermometer and control board. This was way cheaper than replacing it. Overall: They serviced my oven which was broken. It wouldn't turn off. I recommend and will use them again if I ever need their service again in the future.

Our LG gas dryer stopped heating. I contacted "DryerFix Washer and Dryer Repair" in the evening through Yelp and got a response shortly thereafter. Igor came the next morning for diagnosis, determining the likely parts needed, and returned the following day for the fix. It ended up being the cheaper of the two suspected parts - the ignitor rather than the gas valve. I was happy with the turnaround and service and the price seemed fair. I'd hire them again. Incidentally, the paperwork showed the company name as "Appliance Repair USA"; Igor said they were merging.

My dryer stopped getting hot during laundry on Sunday night! I went on Yelp and found this company and was able to schedule for someone to come the next morning. Dmitri was prompt and was able to figure out how to fix it, and he was done within an hour of his visit. I felt that he was honest, the service was good and would definitely be calling them again (and also cheaper than buying a new dryer!).

They exactly what they said. The tech arrived and diagnosed the problem. They charged less than other companies. I would use them again.

We repair washers and dryers across Costa Mesa — 92626, 92627, and everything from the Eastside to South Coast Metro. We're based here, so we're usually at your door the same day you call.

Costa Mesa is our home base. Most calls in 92626 and 92627 get a same-day slot, and we carry the common dryer and washer parts on the truck.

$65 diagnostic, waived when you approve the repair. 90 days on parts and labor. Open seven days, 7 am to 9 pm.

What We Fix in Costa Mesa

Dryer not heating, washer not draining, a machine that walks across the floor on spin — those three are most of what we see. We diagnose on site, quote before we touch anything, and carry the common failure parts for Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, and Kenmore.

About 75 to 80 percent of jobs are done the same day. If a control board or motor has to be ordered, it's usually one to three business days.

We work on gas and electric dryers, top load and front load washers, stackables, and all-in-one combo units. If your set is stacked in a closet, tell us when you book so we can plan the time. Stacked and closet-installed sets are quoted after inspection — pulling and restacking adds time to the job.

Commercial Laundry Service in Costa Mesa

We service laundromats, apartment and HOA laundry rooms, hotels, and salons. Huebsch, Dexter, UniMac, Speed Queen, and Continental Girbau. Coin and card systems, heating, drives, and drain faults. Ask about a maintenance schedule if downtime costs you money — most operators we work with would rather book a quarterly visit than lose a weekend.

Housing and Water in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa is mostly older, and the laundry setups show it. The Eastside and College Park are full of 1950s-60s tract homes with laundry in the garage and a short vent straight out the wall, which is the good scenario. Mesa Verde has more interior laundry rooms with long vent runs through the attic, and that's where we see lint-packed ducts and blown thermal fuses. The condos and newer builds off Harbor and around South Coast Metro are almost all stackables and closet units, where the machine has to come out of the closet before anything can be diagnosed.

Mesa Water District runs on local groundwater, and it's hard. Scale collects on washer inlet valve screens until the machine takes forever to fill, and customers usually blame the valve when a screen cleaning fixes it. The same scale coats heating elements and drops the coil on electric dryers early. If a washer in this city is filling slow, the screens are the first thing we pull.

Neighborhoods we cover: Eastside Costa Mesa, Mesa Verde, College Park, South Coast Metro.

Common Jobs in Costa Mesa

  • Samsung dryer rumbling or squealing — worn drum rollers and idler pulley. We carry the roller kit and belt, so it's a one-visit repair.
  • LG front load washer throwing UB or UE and walking across the floor — suspension rods worn out. Replaced as a set of four, never one at a time.
  • Whirlpool or Maytag dryer running but not heating — thermal fuse blown because the vent is packed. Replacing the fuse without clearing the duct just blows the next one, so we clear the run too.
  • Stackable units in the Harbor and Metro condos — pulling the set out of the closet to reach the belt, rollers, or drain pump. Most shops won't take these calls.
  • Washer filling slow or not at all on the Eastside — scale built up on the inlet valve screens from the hard water here.

Dryer Repair

Most no-heat calls come down to a thermal fuse, a heating element, or a high-limit thermostat on electric, or an igniter, flame sensor, or valve coils on gas. Noise is usually drum rollers, the idler pulley, or the rear bearing. A dryer that runs but leaves clothes damp is almost always the vent, not the dryer — we check the vent before we sell anyone a part.

Washer Repair

Won't drain is usually the coin trap, not the pump, and we clear it and run a full cycle before recommending anything. Leaks at the front point to the door boot; leaks at the back point to hoses or the tub seal. A washer that shakes hard or throws a balance code is normally worn suspension rods or shocks, and rods go in as a set of four.

  • Diagnostic: $65, waived when you approve the repair
  • Second unit: $30 for a second appliance on the same visit

Same-Day Service in Costa Mesa

Call before mid-afternoon and there's usually a slot the same day in Costa Mesa. If a washer is actively leaking, shut the water off at the two valves behind the machine and call — that stops the damage while we're on the way.

Our trucks carry the common failure parts for the major brands, which is why most calls are one visit. If a board or motor has to be ordered, we tell you the price and the timeline before anything is ordered.

Book a Repair in Costa Mesa

Call 949-979-4994 or book online. Tell us the brand, whether it's gas or electric, and the model number if you can reach it — it's on a sticker inside the door or behind the lid. If there's an error code on the display, that alone usually tells us what part to bring.

$65 diagnostic, waived with the repair. 90 days on parts and labor. Open seven days, 7 am to 9 pm.

Washer & Dryer Repair FAQ

Yes. Most of our Costa Mesa calls near Harbor and South Coast Metro are stackables in a closet. We pull the set, do the repair, and reinstall it with the stacking kit. Stacked and closet-installed sets are quoted after inspection — pulling and restacking adds time to the job.

Nine times out of ten in Costa Mesa it's the vent, not the dryer. A long run through the attic packs with lint, the dryer can't exhaust, and it either runs cold or trips the thermal fuse. We check the vent before we sell anyone a part.

Yes. Igniters, gas valve coils, and flame sensors are standard work for us, and we carry the common parts. A lot of the older Eastside garages have gas hookups.

Under 10 years old, a machine is almost always worth repairing. Past that, we'll tell you straight whether the repair or a new machine is the better use of your money. A belt, fuse, pump, or switch is worth doing on any machine that's otherwise sound; a control board, motor, or transmission on an older machine is where replacement more often makes sense. We'll give you the number before you decide.

The diagnostic is $65, waived when you approve the repair, and $30 for a second machine on the same visit.

Typical completed repairs:

  • Belts, fuses, switches, clogged drains: from $200
  • Heating elements, drain pumps, door boots, rollers: $200-390
  • Suspension rods, shocks, bearings: $220-400
  • Dryer vent cleaning: flat price, quoted when you book
  • Control boards, drive motors: quoted separately

Washers run 10 to 14 years, dryers 10 to 13. Dryers usually outlive washers because there's less to go wrong. What actually shortens their life is overloading, which kills suspension and bearings, and a neglected vent, which cooks the heating circuit. Clean the vent run every year or two and a dryer will go well past its rated life.

$65, waived when you approve the repair, and $30 for a second appliance on the same visit. It covers a full inspection, a written diagnosis, and a firm price before any work starts. No charge for the quote if you decide not to proceed beyond the diagnostic.

The drive motor, transmission, and control board, followed by the outer tub and bearing assembly. On most machines past ten years, that repair is where we'll tell you replacement makes more sense. Pumps, boots, rods, and valves are the everyday parts, and those are worth fixing on nearly any machine.
