Samsung Dryer Problems We See

Samsung dryers fail in a pattern. Worn drum rollers and the idler pulley wear together and show up as a deep rumble, and the heating circuit accounts for most no-heat calls.

A no-heat Samsung is rarely one part. The heating element, both thermal fuses, the high-limit thermostat, and the thermistor tend to go together — when the element shorts, it takes the fuses with it — which is why we carry them as a set.

The thermistor sits in the blower housing, and testing it is quick: it should read about 11,900 ohms at 70°F.

On the display, HC means the dryer is running too hot, tS and tC point at the temperature sensor, and dC is the door. The lint screen, the vent, and the door latch come first.
